Choose the correct slope of the line that passes through the points (−4, 8) and (−3, −6). 7 −14 0 14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know the formula which gives the slope?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

slope = y2-y1/x2-x1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Or in other words, slope is (change in y) divided by (change in x). Can you work it out now?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Traxter thats all it says, i dont get it. @k.rajabhishek I know, i don't get this problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

assume any one of the point be (x1,y1) and other be (x2,y2) then substitute the values in equation

OpenStudy (btaylor):

\[m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1} = \frac{8 - ^- 6}{-4 - ^-3} = \frac{8+6}{-4+3}= \frac{14}{-1} = -14\]
