May someone please help me? How do you show that one pair of opposite angles of this kite are congruent? http://learn.flvs.net/webdav/assessment_images/educator_geometry_v14/pool_Geom_3641_1008_18/image0024e8da627.jpg

OpenStudy (eyust707):

What tools do we have at our disposal?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you mean as to what tools? A compass? pencils? paper? This is supposed to be a geometric proof.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So, would we need those tools?

OpenStudy (eyust707):

With a compass we could show that QR is the same as SR

OpenStudy (eyust707):

They share a common PR

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok. By making an angle bisector?

OpenStudy (eyust707):

And with the compass we could also show that PS is the same as QS

OpenStudy (eyust707):

No just put the sharp point on R and sweep a circle through point Q

OpenStudy (eyust707):

If it also passes through S, the two segments are radii of the same circle and are therefore the same length

OpenStudy (eyust707):

Once we have shown that all the sides are the same length, we can conclude that the two shapes are congruent. If the Shapes are congruent, the angles are as well.
