Subtract and simplify: x^2/x+4 - 16/x+4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[{x^{2}\over x+4}~~-{16\over x+4}\]can also be written as \[x^{2}-16\over x+4\]and now you factor the numerator\[(x+4)(x-4)\over (x+4)\]we can cancel out the (x+4)'sand so you are left with....? :)
