A classmate tells you, 'Finding the coordinates of a midpoint is easy. You just find the averages." is there any truth to it? Explain what you think your classmate means.

OpenStudy (ghazi):

yes...it's true but must not say average...coz that includes more than two points....

OpenStudy (ghazi):

it's just mid point of two coordinates let's say these are (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) then your mid point will be \[\frac{ x1+x2 }{ 2 } and \frac{ y1+y2 }{ 2 }\]

OpenStudy (ghazi):

it is average of two

OpenStudy (ghazi):

is it clear?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (ghazi):
