13.8996 ; Round to the correct number of sig figs
Any context?
How many sf do you need?
it doesnt tell me how many sig figs just tells me to the correct number of sig figs
Is it just a maths problem? Also what kind of grade is this? Have you worked this number out? If so... it may well depend on the sigfig of the numbers used.
There is no "correct number of sigfig" however you can work out the accuracy of your results if you have a precision on the instruments used.
its chemistry 11th grade i multiplied 4.29 x 3.24 and got 13.8996 as my unrounded answer then it asks me to ANSWER ROUNDED TO THE CORRECT NUMBER OF SIG FIGS
3sigfig as both of your first 2 measurements are 3 sigfig
Well maybe... Actually you should work out your error first and always round your error to 1 sigfig then make your answer have the same precision. But with those two numbers if you haven't been given errors. Just use 3
