Find the simplified form of the expression. Give your answer in scientific notation. https://lh3.ggpht.com/xsJkaNpoAg_LcFJ1dGu_WxynnwxGdMm59tXHxPOcXd4aJCqrdNJaN-GTytZ0j5KXHdxFKw=s126

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

You add exponents (3)(6)(10^-6)(10^-8) (3)(6)(10^(-6 + (-8)) 18*10^(-14) 1.8*10^(-13)

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

Note you can only add exponents when they have the same base so for example 10^4(10^2) = 10^(4 + 2) = 10^6 3^2(3^2) = 3^(2+2) = 3^4 2^(-2)2^(2) = 2^((-2)+2) = 2^0 = 1 you cannot add the exponents in this cases like this: 10^4(3^2) 22^3(3^4)

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

with variables it is the same x(x^2) = x^(1+2) = x^3

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

(x)yx^2 = yx^(2+1) = yx^3 but yeah im done with examples now

Thanks this was really helpful :)
