during cell division, cellular dna starts to replicate. But, is there any signalling system that tells the mitochondrial dna to start its replication or so? or cellular dna supplies the necessary mitochondrial dna?(awkward question,i guess!).My main problem is, How do mitochondrial and cellular dna collaborate in replication during cell division??
Mitochondria divide during G2. There are internal signals within the cells that notifies things to happen at the right time. Much of it is found in the environment and secretary glands of the cell. Much of this is new details in the science world so many of the details can only be found in a scientific journal and can be considered a pretty advanced read for the average person. The important thing to know is that the cell goes through a predictable way to reproduce and mitochondria divide before the Spindle fibers are synthesized during G2...so right before true cell division starts the mitochondria divide.
Does that help?
Wow!!!!Thank U!!really!!you gave me a new insight about this!!! Wish i could give u thousand medals!!!
