list these numbers in least to greatest using the dewey decimal system 593.5 587 592.3 594 592.37 and explain how the DDS works
Do you mean the Dewey decimal system used as library classification system?
Yes
Is a system of library classification made up of ten classes, each divided into ten divisions, each having ten sections (000-999 roughly) Each number represents a topic, each decimal a subsection For example, 330 for economics + .9 for geographic treatment + .04 for Europe = 330.94 European economy; 973 for United States + .05 form division for periodicals = 973.05 periodicals concerning the United States generally When two or more books have the same classification number, the system sub-divides the class alphabetically. Here is the list of all the classes http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Dewey_Decimal_classes
So it would be 587, 592.73, 592.3, 593.5 and 594
I suppose so, never really paid attention to these numbers before your question^^ but it seems logical to order them that way to easily navigate through the sections.
I need to make sure but thanks for that.
The list of the decimal numbers sorted from low to high is shown below:\[\{587,592.3,592.37,593.5,594\} \]
