I really need help with science please help. Explain why scientists use SI units instead of units such as inches and gallons?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because they are so much nicer and most of the world has already adopted SI units

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its an international unit. So when scientists all over the world compare research their works will be in the same units.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

SI is an abreviation for the french term Système International d'units, which translates to INternational System of Units. SI units are the units that everyone in the world has agreed to relate to, tht way if a scientist in China wanted to compare research with a lab in the US their units would match and be easy to compare.
