Is there an integer that has a remainder of 2 when it is divided by 5 and a remainder of 3 when it is divided by 6? a. Is there an integer n such that n has ? b. Does there exist such that if n is divided by 5 the remainder is 2 and if ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, I believe the answer is 27

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How did you get that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you would solve this problem by first thinking of all the number that would have a remainder of two when divided by 5 which would be numbers like 7, 12, 17, 22, 27, etc...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you just go through those until you find one that is divisible by 6 with a remainder 3 as well
