how do you factor x^3+x^2-4x=4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

subtract 4 u have \[x^3+x^2-4x-4=0\]look for common factor between first and second term .... and common factor between 3rd and 4th term

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

otherwise known as factor by grouping --> (x^3 +x^2) +(-4x-4)
