Factor: 9-9b^4 All I know is that the GCF is 9.. how do I go about solving this?
You take the CGF out of the parentheses like that 9* (First - Second)
What will be the First now ?
1
Second will be - b^2
So that would make it 1-b^4?
Sorry YES
9(1-b^4) what would the formula be to factor this? I am not sure what it is past the difference of cubes.
NOO cubes - just humble squares
A^2 - B^2 = ( A + B )(A - B )
So it would be 9(1+b^2)(1-b^2)?
YeeeAs , btw ? be my Fan , may be ?
Hm, that is the problem though, that is not the answer that is in the back of the book, I know of the answer, I am just trying to see how they go there.. they have 9(1+b^2)(1+b)(1-b) Hmm..
I wonder why the factored the last part but not the first...
Well they are both the same (be my fan) just continue splitting
Ah, alrighty, thank you. I appreciate your help!
