Please help me. Sketch the following two graphs on the same axis. Show calculations. A:y=-3x+3and B: 4y-5x+20=0 and determine the coordinates of the intersection point of the two graphs.

u got to do them in a paper then answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry can't help on this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A: y-intercept 3; slope -3 B: 4y = 5x -20 y 5/4 x - 5 y-intercept -5; slope 5/4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is correct so y r u asking

rickchickenheart. Thanks. I got the intercepts of A (1:0) and (0:3) and B (4:0) and (0:-5). ow do I calculate the coordinates of the intersection point of the two graphs?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the easiest thing to do here seems to me to plug in the value for of the first equation into the second eg. 4y = 5x - 20 <=> 4(-3x +3) = 5x - 20 <=> -12x + 12 = 5x - 20 now solve for x after that plug the found value for x in the first equation

Thank you. HAVE A NICE EVENING. Tiaan.
