Which of the following is not a step used when graphing the equation x + 3y = 9 using the x- and y- intercepts method? A.Plot the y-intercept (0, 3). B.Plot the intercept (9, 0). C.Draw a line through the two points. D.Count down 1 and right 3 from the y-intercept.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol same thing i said when i saw the question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you cool

OpenStudy (anonymous):

huh?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you have facebook

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no i deleted it but please don't spam.write me a message.not on here..

OpenStudy (radar):

Think about this problem, why would you do part D.? I can't think of a good reason.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

were

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you in high school;

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@radar im not sure.im confused myself. thats why i posted it to c if someone can help me out.

OpenStudy (radar):

Well step a makes sense as letting x = 0, would indeed result in a y value of 3......that is the y intercept.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but you wanna talk private

OpenStudy (radar):

Step B. makes sense letting y = 0 would result in a x value of 9.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know it would be between those two ..but i am not completely sure.

OpenStudy (radar):

This would locate two points and now you could construct the straight line with a straight edge, Part C. You have accomplished the mission without doing D. D. is not necessary.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what you mean? so it is C?

OpenStudy (radar):

No the D step is unnecessary.

OpenStudy (radar):

The problem aslked for the step not used. Step D is not used.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ooooo :D thank you!

OpenStudy (radar):

You are welcome. Good luck with your studies.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is good
