The New Kingdom of Egypt was different from the Old and Middle Kingdoms in several ways. The Old Kingdom was known for its Pyramids, the Middle Kingdom for administrative improvements in government as well as a golden age of trade, and the New Kingdom for some of the greatest pharoahs in Egypt's history such as Rameses II and the so-called "Heretic" King, Akhenaton as it expanded its borders. So, you could probably list things like: Old Kingdom - Pyramids and the Sphinx Middle Kingdom - trade and government New Kingdom - expansion and conquest It's very simplified as it doesn't address the Intermediate Periods, but it should help laying some things out. During the New Kingdom, Egypt had expanded its armies and went on a binge of conquests into the surrounding lands waging war as far north as modern-day Turkey against the Hittite Empire. The country expanded the most during this time with both Upper and Lower Egypt firmly united. The pharoah was also backed by a strong administration that had been built up since the Middle Kingdom. During the Old Kingdom, the pharoah was revered almost as an absolute tyrant. In the New Kingdom, the pharoah still held incredible power, but now it was more in service to the people than to themselves as before. Egypt had also invaded and overthrown the monarchy of Kush during the New Kingdom as it expanded southwards. This took more than one war to fight, but eventually, Egypt won. Afterwards, Kush became part of the Egyptian empire ruled over by a viceroy appointed by Thutmoses III, the pharoah responsible for most of Egypt's expansion. The rich gold mines of Kush made Egypt extremely wealthy and by conquering the nation, Egypt also become one of the most powerful and richest nations of the time. The New Kingdom, in many ways, was the Golden Age for Egypt at the height of its power. Militarily, it had peace with the Hittites (Ramses II married a Hittite princess as part of the peace deal) and had crushed the rest of its enemies. Gold flowed from Kush, and the land was being filled with temples and monuments to the gods and their rulers. There seemed to be little left for Egypt to accomplish at this point.
