OpenStudy (anonymous):

His father passed on the throne to him. His uncle made him co-emperor. His army took control of Constantinople. His wife was of royal birth.

Was it his army?

Don't know what the right answer is but it's NOT (A) or (His father passed on the throne to him.)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

his uncle made him co-emperor. "In 527, Justinian I became the ruler of the Byzantine Empire. However, he was not the son of the preceding ruler. In fact, Justinian was born to peasant parents in 482. In the Byzantine Empire, imperial succession was not hereditary. Most emperors chose a son as the heir to the throne. However, others picked a relative who seemed qualified for the position."
