What are the strength and direction of the electric field at the position indicated by the dot in the figure (Figure 1) ? I NEED DIRECTION NOW! Thanks

OpenStudy (noelgreco):

\[E = k \frac{ Q }{r ^{2} }\] Calculate that for each point charge. Then we'll add the vectors.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do you find direction?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Addition of vectors

the answer is in degrees? I need how to find the angle

OpenStudy (noelgreco):

The direction of an electric field is the direction of the force on a positive test charge placed in the field. In this case the field is directed away from each of the positive charges.

hag - you'd be surprise but there are topics which u actuall y need to read and understand in detail. And this is it

|dw:1346438409410:dw| \[A=k3*10^{-9}/\sqrt{125}^2\] \[B=k3*10^{-9}/5^2\]

The whole purpose of Openstudy is to surpass the inadequacies of current internet education by expounding concepts to people personally and helping their unique problems. Now that openstudy has been established, any less than that is a failure on the educators' parts.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Vector addition is simple- put the end of one on the point of the other (in any order), and take the final result.|dw:1346438644261:dw| Think of a parallelogram

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The length of the arrows= the values in the equations above.
