3.6 which categories whole real natural integer rational irrational?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

could you put commas to show the separations?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whole, real, natural, integer rational, irrational,

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

and you want a definition for each?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, i was wondering which categories does 3.6 fit in

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

oh i thought that was the number in the assignment whole - these are 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc. NO decimals. real - these are ALL numbers except imaginary. This includes square roots, whole numbers, integers, fractions, decimals, etc. natural - these are the counting numbers (1, 2, 3, 4, 5). All the positive whole numbers, sometimes 0 included integer - this includes all positive and negative WHOLE numbers and 0. (like -1, -2, 0, 1, 2, etc) rational - this includes whole numbers, fractions AND decimals. irrational - in my own simple words these are the numbers that don't look pretty like \(\pi\) or \(\sqrt 2\), etc. does that help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea i understand it but out of those 6 systems i have to figure out where does 3.6 fit in. in can fit in to more than one system. if that makes any sense

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

read what i wrote again and look for the categories that I wrote "decimal"

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

hint: there are two categories that I wrote decimal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so it would be real and rational

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

yup

k thanks!!
