Can someone give me examples of when we would need radian circles in our daily lives?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when you want to be silly and say that 1 pie has 2 pie radians in it

.......

i'd love to hear how we can use *any* kind of math in our daily lives

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2 bananas + 2 bananas equal 4 bananas

I understand that most maths concepts would only be practised and used if you were to have a job relating to the maths/engineering field, but what if you don't want to be one? We still have to learn all these weird maths concepts and what for? Because it matures our brain and thinking skills?

I suspect that most people will never see radians in their daily lives...but I see them quite often in engineering work. Math and physics in particular teach you critical thinking/deductive reasoning/etc...that's the main benefit to those who don't follow career paths that require them. However, being forced to takes years of world history classes was a complete waste of time in my opinion...I mean really, who uses that stuff in their daily lives? At least math and science comes in handy...
