which point or what's the equation? If the question is which point, the answer will be an infinite number of points including (9;-5)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well you can get trillions of points for example put x=0 and the corresponding y y=-6(0)+49=49 so the point is (0;49) you can choose any value of x and determine the corresponding y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

maybe there should be some choices to choose one from

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why didn't you say that from the beginning... see which point satisfies the equation i'll do one for you: (6;10): 10=-6(6)+49 this is what you should check 10#13 so (6;10) doesn't belong to the line do the same for the other points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like i said before choose some arbitrary value for x,then determine why from the equation i gave you an example when x=0

OpenStudy (phi):

once you have found the equation of the line you can find an infinite number of (x,y) pairs that will lie on the line. (pick an x, and use the equation to find the corresponding y) This question is testing whether you can find the equation of the line (you did!), and then evaluate whether a particular (x,y) pair lie on the line. If you check the choices, only (7,7) will fall on the line.
