why aluminium metal can store more heat than iron metal?

OpenStudy (shane_b):

In short it's because aluminum has a higher specific heat. http://www.engineeringtoolbox.com/specific-heat-metals-d_152.html

thanks Shane_B :))

np :)

Here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heat_capacity#Theory_of_heat_capacity explains WHY well: it is because in Al, the particles have more 'room' to move around, and heat= jiggling of little particles on a small scale, so being able to jiggle more= being able to store more heat.
