You're multiplying by a single digit, so you only need one row. 4,5,6,5 multiplied by 3 gives 12,15,18,15 which on Napier's rods looks like: 1/2 1/5 1/8 1/5 Numbers next to each other without a / between them get added together - 1/2+1/5+1/8+1/5 Those become the digits of your answer.
