Metals are ductile as the layers of atoms softly glide over one another when pulled into thin strips. Find a material with such properties, and you have a ductile material.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Actually, graphite doesn't fit that category.

rubber?
OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):
molten glass?
Parth (parthkohli):
Never heard of a ductile non-metal, but I do concur with UnkleRhaukus. The non-metals he mentioned are ductile in a sense.

is there a sense that are not ductile ?
Parth (parthkohli):
Maybe there is, but I might not want to say that they are ductile: unqualified people cannot make statements that they are unsure of.
