The fundamental theorem, if I remember it correctly, creates sort of a bridge that relates both integration and differentiation. That's pretty much it.

nice try...but specifically put: integration and differentiation are inversely related. A trend Barrow, Newton's tutor in college, studied and later ddeveloped by Newton and Liebniz
