OpenStudy (lgbasallote):
when you have | f(x) | = a
that means f(x) = a and f(x) = -a
that's the basic concept
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i dont get what you are saying
OpenStudy (lgbasallote):
for example you have
| x | = 2
the value of x is x = 2 AND x = -2
OpenStudy (lgbasallote):
if you have | x | = 3
value of x is x = 3 and x = -3
OpenStudy (lgbasallote):
when you have | x + 1 | = 1
then you ahve x + 1 = 1 and x + 1 = -1
so x = 0 and x = -2
