Friction is considered to be a vector because friction can be described as the force of resistance between two surfaces in contact. Give two example of friction from everyday life and say why they can be described as vectors

OK, once you have your examples, explain that the friction force acts in the opposite direction of what ever you are trying to move against it. One simple example is walking: As I push my foot back against the ground, the force of friction pushes me forward.
