I need help citing a textbook for a paper. It's by more than one author and is divided into units. Each unit has a couple of chapters written by the same author. Right now, I'm citing chapters from one unit by one author, however, I'm also citing a case story which is part of a chapter but written by one of the other authors. How do I go about citing this?
I think you'll just have to cite multiple parts of the book (whichever parts you're using) You'll need to cite the ORIGINAL author (if he had help then site the co author as well but dont cite the person who edited it after it was published)
Okay, so I've quoted from Chapter 1 of Part 1, so here I've cited the title of the chapter: Zarrilli, Phillip B. "Oral, Ritual, and Shamanic Performance." Theatre Histories: An Introduction. By Phillip B. Zarrilli, Bruce McConachie, Gary Jay Williams, and Carol Fisher Sorgenfrei. 2nd ed. New York: Routledge, 2010. 29. Print. Now, I've also quoted from a case study at the end of the chapter (but it is still listed as part of "Oral, Ritual...") and it's by another author: Sorgenfrei, Carol Fisher. "Korean Shamanism and the Power of Speech." Theatre Histories: An Introduction. By Phillip B. Zarrilli, Bruce McConachie, Gary Jay Williams, and Carol Fisher Sorgenfrei. 2nd ed. New York: Routledge, 2010. 45-51. Print. I feel like having the authors named twice (once for the section and once for the writing the whole book) is pretty redundant, but I just don't know how to go about it.
Or, you can refer to the Havard Referencing Guide, where most of the universities use. you can easly search from the web. e.g. http://www.library.uow.edu.au/content/groups/public/ @web/@health/documents/doc/uow025425.pdf
