How do you solve this: Limit as x--> ∞ of 12 + 2^x / 6-2^x ? How do you treat the infinity when x is an exponent?

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

devide every term by 2^x and then run the limit

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

so ((12/2^x)+(2^x)/(2^x))/((6/2^x)-(2^x/2^x))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhhh okay so it should give me 12/2^x and such. to then give me 1/1?

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

1/-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you!

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

np

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

you see why - right?
