Need help factoring. 2x+6-x^2-3x
Firstly sort and simplify the equation, and you get -x^2 - x + 6. I can't help with the second part of the factoring (unfortunately) but at the end you should get -(x - 2)(x + 3).
@precal
I did get that far. Am stuck at. -x^2-x+6
Find factors of 6 that add to make -1.
(or rather subtract in this case)
Might be a little easier as well to factor out the -1 and make it look like -1(x^2+x-6), then it's the same thing but with the -1 on the outside, you are looking for factors of -6 that add(subtract) to equal 1.
Oh yes thank you. That does make it easier.
Just remember to keep that -1 with the rest of your factors at the end. Minus signs are small and easy to lose.
Ok thank you again.
did you need help anymore, seems like CliffSedge was correct and did a great job helping you
