When constructing a histogram it is important to A. eliminate the extremes to minimize the effect of skew. B. choose class intervals so all contain a similar number of observations. C. make certain the mean and median are contained in the same class interval, so the correct type of skew can be identified. D. label the vertical axis so the reader can determine the counts or percent in each class interval.
which one do you think it is
okay, well I think A is incorrect. I'm guessing B can be correct, but not sure if I fully understand it. C I don't think so, and D maybe not sure?
there's no rule where you have to make each class have a similar number of observations since you can have any distribution shape you want (and not just have a uniform distribution)
So B is out
So D?
D is the answer because you need to know how tall each bar is (so you can make sense of the data)
yes
:) ty... can you see if this is correct http://openstudy.com/users/konradzuse#/updates/504a7b81e4b0b72c4ea89f70
