How to solve: 2log(x-1) = 2+log100

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Shift log 100 to the left first:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Cutiepo0 okay means you're doing it, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep I did that. I also shifted the 2 to a an exponent position on the (x-1) and then used exponent division law to divide x-1 by 100

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the two from 2log(x-1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because it didn't work... past there at least :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay so I did all that, and then I tried making the =2 and = log10+log10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does that make sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just do step by step as I instruct you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay! go ahead lol :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where is log 1000 from? if you meant log 100 , I moved it over already

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Show HERE!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay let me mentally erase everything. OKay, moving over log100

OpenStudy (anonymous):

H..mmm What takes you so long to move just a number?!?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay. so what next?
