OpenStudy (anonymous):

-6<2x-6<= to 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

add 6 all the way across, then divide by 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

huh? isnt the 6 going to cancel out how would i show my work

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, that is the point, the 6 will "cancel" aka add up to zero so you can get \(x\) by itself

OpenStudy (anonymous):

don't be confused by the fact that you will get 0 on the left. 0 is a perfectly good number first step will get you \[0<2x\leq 14\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you write it out for me im still a lil lost

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then divide by 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[-6<2x-6\leq 8\] add 6 \[0<2x\leq 14\]divide by 2\[0<x\leq 7\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so im adding the 6,s underneath the 6;s

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the 6's cancled out and became 0 right
