What is complex conjugating using division method?

OpenStudy (goformit100):

anyone help me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not sure what you mean. I know what a complex conjugate is, and I've seen division of complex numbers, but I don't know exactly what you're asking. Do you have a particular example?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the conjugate of \(a+bi\) is \(a-bi\) and you use it when you divide, because \(a+bi)(a-bi)=a^2+b^2\) a real number for example \[\frac{2+3i}{5+2i}=\frac{2+3i}{5+2i}\times \frac{5-2i}{5-2i}=\frac{(2+3i)(5-2i)}{5^2+2^2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's what I'm assuming he means, but I'm not sure.
