Having trouble understand this concept. Can someone help? Is the following always, sometimes, or never true? 6 + 8x – 9 = 11x + 14 – 3x (1 point) always true sometimes true never true

First try collecting all the x terms on one side of the equals sign and all of the constant terms (numbers) on the other side and tell me what you get.

It'd be 16x = 11, correct? Would this make it "Never true"?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

After you simplify the terms and isolate x, if you get x = something, then it will be sometimes true if you get a number = another number (ie, the x was cancelled in simplification), then you will be left with 2 numbers. If these numbers are equal, it will always be true, if they are not, it will never be true.
