assuming we are solving for "y" -6y -3 =3-6y since the "y" value would cancel each other out the answer would be no solution. because you have to add the -6y to the other side of the equation making y=0 -6y-3=3-6y +6y +6y -3=3+0y

When you simplify it, 0=6 or -6=0. This is a contradiction because 6 does not equal 0
