How do I find the inverse of an equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Specifically (3x+4)/(2x-1)

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

that's y = (3x+4)/(2x-1) right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (helder_edwin):

solve for x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how?

OpenStudy (helder_edwin):

u have \[ \large y=\frac{3x+4}{2x-1} \] then \[ \large y(2x-1)=3x+4 \] \[ \large 2xy-y=3x+4 \] \[ \large 2xy-3x=y+4 \] \[ \large x(2y-3)=y+4 \] \[ \large x=\frac{y+4}{2y-3} \]

OpenStudy (helder_edwin):

this is solving for x

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

wow

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you

OpenStudy (helder_edwin):

got it @mridrik ?

OpenStudy (helder_edwin):

u r welcome
