Simplify the trig function.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\frac{ x^2cosx + xcosx + sinx }{ (1+ x) ^2 }\]

hartnn (hartnn):

nothing much to simplify

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x^2+x(cosx + sinx) ----------------- (1+x)^2 is the answer in the book

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did they factor that out?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x^2+x)cosx + sinx ----------------- (1+x)^2 rather

hartnn (hartnn):

yup, they just took cos x common to get (x^2+x)cos x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahhh thanks again!

hartnn (hartnn):

welcome :)
