compare the types of evedance of a geographer and historian use to explain important topics in their feilds?

I'm not sure which elements you are looking for, but geography can often dictate how a civilization develops and what drives it to do something of the things that it does. For example, the Egyptian empire flourished along the Nile because it was a ready source of water, deposited silt that was great for farming along its banks, and allowed the passage of trade up and down the length of the empire. Many civilizations flourished in the same way as people clustered around easy-to-access resources and geographic features to make their lives easier. Others eked out an existence in much harsher environments and their civilizations and cultures developed accordingly. And historians can use the same things to better understand the story behind a culture's growth and development to build a picture of what they were like. At least that's my two cents on how certain things a geographer looks for can also help a historian.
