OpenStudy (anonymous):

do what right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no looks like you made a mistake on line three

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Could you tell me what i did wrong please?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where you sqaure anything its positive, -6squared is 36

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can see the poisnt so I presume the first step is right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think the x's and y's are mixed up...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If your squaring with negatives on a calculator do you put parenthesis around it then square it or do you just square it normally

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so three line should be \[\sqrt{(-6)^{2}+(-2)^{2}}\] next line is \[\sqrt{36 +4}\] next line \[\sqrt{40}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes do it like this \[(-4)^{2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright thank you :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I cant see the points on the graph to see if he got them mixed up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*ahem* |dw:1347410664237:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this looks right to me, since I guess you can see the points on the picture

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I couldn't see the numbers, but I could see the shape of the triangle.
