Solve P=2(l+w) for l. what are the missing values in the table below? P W 1 14 2 ? 22 8 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You can consider P=2(l+w) as P=2l+2w, by substituting values, you should be able to get the l after you move it to one side, does that help any?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol i'm so confused

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Basically i distribute the 2 with the l and w, so you end up with an equation of P = 2l+2w. Since you have the values for P and W, you can just plug them in, so the only term left would be "l". Does that make it more clear?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes way more clear now do i solve the linear equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes you do, all you have to do is move the constants to one side and make "l" by itself, that would be your solution to "l".

alright thank you so much:)
