CALCULUS: if the denominator is 0, when will I still be able to calculate limit? Only when the numerator is also 0 right?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

yes. if the denominator is 0..then the limit is infinity...that's what calculus people say

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If i understood well, when the numerator is 0 too, so it gives 0/0, i can calculate the limit. but when it's something like 2/0 or 3/0, i can't, right?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

2/0 or 3/0 is infinity

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

undefined = infinity

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but if its 0/0, i can still calculate limits right?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

AIGHT THX!!

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

\[\lim\limits_{n\rightarrow0}\frac nn=\text{undefined} \]
