2/9t=8
Do you know how to get t out of the denominator?
no how?
what would happen if you multiplied both sides by 9t?
they would go up
try to write the equation when you multiply both sides by 9t
(The reason you can do this, is because both sides or equal. So when you multiply both sides by 9t, they would still be equal)
are equal*
so whsts the answer
I am trying to help you to understand how to solve the problem. We cannot just give you the answer. So try to write out what would happen if you multiplied both sides by 9t here :)
needit please
what is 9t * (2/9t) ?
This is how you get t out of denominator. In general: say we got something in our denominator, to get that something outside of the denominator, you just multiply both sides by that something. Why does this work? Because (that something) divided by (that something) will always be 1. Unless that something is 0. 1) 2/9t=8 <--- a variable is in the denominator, we don't like this, you want it outside 2) 9t*(2/9t) = 8*9t <--- to get it outside, multiply both sides by the denominator 3) 9t*2/9t = 8*9t <--- multiplication is associative 4) 2*9t/9t = 8*9t <--- multiplication is commutative 5) 2*(9t/9t) = 8*9t <--- associative property again I think you should be able to solve the problem from here on. If you still need help, then reply :)
