Solve: -3/5x < 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Treat this problem as a normal problem instead of an inequatlity. So first get x alone. Do you know how to do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Honestly Im completely lost on this problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well you to get x alone you have put -3/5 on the other side of the inequality. So you multiply the fraction by its reciprocal. \[x < 4(5/-3)\] Can you finish the math?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope sorry :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just do 4 * 5 Then divide by -3. That is your answer. x > -6.67

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what would be the fraction form because thats what I put on my test and it was marked wrong for not being in fraction form

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-6 and 2/3 or -20/3
