-64÷4•2+3(5-3)-4(¾)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can someone show me how I work this out plz?

OpenStudy (phoenixfire):

Just to confirm: \[{-64 \over 4}2 + 3(5-3)-4{3 \over 4}\]

OpenStudy (phoenixfire):

Yes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my answer i got was -5

OpenStudy (phoenixfire):

So 64/4=16. * 2=32. 5-3=2*3=6 4* 3/4 = 3 because the 4 cancels. -32+6-3=-32+3=-29 Answer should be -29.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahhhh!!!! TYVM!!!

OpenStudy (phoenixfire):

:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its still saying its -5...i put in -29 and it said it was wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry, wrong one...Your right im wrong!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-12 ÷ 4 • 2 + 2(5-3) - 3/4 • 4 This is the one I got -5 for an answer

OpenStudy (phoenixfire):

If it was -5 then the equation should be: \[-{64 \over (4)(2)}+3(5-3)-4{3 \over 4}\]

OpenStudy (phoenixfire):

Yup that one is -5.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol, tyvm
