what is zoid in geometry?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm, zoid? do u mean geiod?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Actually it says Zoids in the book..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Zoid? Typically geometry textbooks use these as simply just "shapes," without definite properties for problems. E.g. If we compare two groups of shapes and say a "Zoid" is any shape in both groups, then such is the case. It's simply a "nothing," they added an "-oid" in the end to make it sound like a figure.

so how do we know if something is zoid or not?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You don't, it has to be on the problem statement.
