Well a root of the polynomial, graphically, is a place where y=0, so you must find the points on the graph where y=0, or stated differently, the points on the graph that intersect the x axis
you can reverse engineer for the parabola, but that's probably not what they want you to do. You probably just want to check where it intersects the x axis, and approximate that
