The hypothesis of a statement is the if part. always sometimes never?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you mean in logic, then always (antecedent of a proposition)

Sometimes a statement won't use the words "if" an "then" but you should still be able to rewrite it using those terms into an equivalent statement that has the same meaning. For example, the statement, "I'm hungry in the morning" can be rewritten as, "If it is morning, then I am hungry."

So, even if the word "if" isn't in the original statement you can still always find the hypothesis by rewriting the statement using "if" and "then"
