What is the domain of f(x) = log(x + 2)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You cannot take the log of 0 and anything less than 0 will give a non-real answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the log function is defined only for positive values. therefore f(x) = log(x² -4) is defined only for x² - 4 > 0 x² > 4 x < -2, x > 2 The domain is (-∞, -2) U (2, ∞)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is just log(x + 2), therefore the domain is simply x > -2

thanks :)
