Factor: 12x^2-96x+120

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

take out 12 as a common factor \[12(x^2 - 8x + 12)\] this should allow you to factorise the quadratic in the brackets

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh alright, thanks !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[12(x^2-8x+10)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wouldn't that be correct ?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

oops yes... sorry for the mistype

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's okay, is this the furthest it can be factored?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

so the quadratic won't factor

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh okay, thanks again

OpenStudy (btaylor):

but pulling out the 12 is factoring (to a point)
