OpenStudy (baldymcgee6):

do you know how to find the derivative using first principles?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I know how to find the derivative of a function using the definition of a derivative. F(x+h)-F(x)/h

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Think this question had something to do with that. And i know the faster way of solving Nx^n-1

OpenStudy (baldymcgee6):

okay, well when you take this limit you end up with 1/32, this is the derivative of the function f(x) = x/32

OpenStudy (anonymous):

says f(x)=x/32 is incorrect. :\

OpenStudy (baldymcgee6):

hmm, well then I'm not sure what the answer is, sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alrite no problem,thanks anyways

OpenStudy (baldymcgee6):

now this is just bugging me, that should be the right answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dunno myself. I know how you got 1/32. maybe 1/32 isn't the derivative of x/32.

OpenStudy (baldymcgee6):

No, it is.
